Calibrate the monitor periodically
to maintain correct display
Predictable color with any media
Periodical calibration is important in maintaining the
monitor in its optimal condition. The below gives an
introduction to the procedure and useful functions for
conducting the calibration.
Once you set a schedule, the monitor will automatically calibrate itself according to
the set timing. Self-calibration will be conducted even when the computer is off or
when nobody is in attendance. There will therefore be no interruption to your work.
Set the measurement patch and
communication port number.
You can create a 3D-LUT type
profile (higher accuracy) or a
matrix profile (faster
measurement).
Select the adjustment
target and click the
“Adjust” button. Then
follow the same steps as
in to on page 2.
ColorNavigator reminds you when it is time to recalibrate your the monitor based on the
hours of use. With this reminder function, you will not forget to carry out calibration.
The reason for periodical calibration
Select “SelfCalibration schedule”
from among the “Advanced” features.
Set the timing.
Click the “Preferences”
button at the bottom left.
Set the time and manner of displaying the notice in
the “Timer” tab.
When the set time expires, the ColorNavigator icon turns red, the LED lamp on the
monitor blinks, and a message is displayed when ColorNavigator starts up.
Select “Create ICC profile for tablet/display device…”
from among the “Advanced” features.

The condition of a monitor changes with use over
time, gradually becoming dark (brightness dims)
and yellowish (color temperature drops), so it is
necessary to restore it to its earlier condition.
With ColorNavigator, ColorEdge monitors emulate the
color of devices such as tablet computers, smart phones
and LCD and CRT monitors. Emulation is performed by
reading color patches displayed in the web browser of the
emulated device, and creating an ICC profile.
